Clyfford Still Museum
Partners at Fitzgerald Petersen Communications are working with the highly anticipated Clyfford Still Museum to provide communications counsel including media relations, strategic community programs and potential crisis communications. Considered one of the most important painters of the twentieth century, the Clyfford Still’s work, totaling approximately 2,400 artworks, was bequeathed to the city of Denver in 2004. In August 2004, the City of Denver, under the leadership of Mayor John W. Hickenlooper, was selected by Still’s wife, Patricia Still, to receive the substantial Still collection.
Since joining as the PR agency of record in late 2005, our team has garnered coverage in every media outlet throughout the state of Colorado, as well as national publications like the New York Times, CNN and others. Announcements have included major project events such as architect selection, funding and grant news, special events/ lectures and upcoming design developments.
Our partners manage media relationships daily with Arts/Entertainment Editors at Denver Post, Westword, Boulder Daily Camera, Colorado Springs Gazette and others. We also have strong relationships with the Mayor’s office to implement special events within the Denver community.
Since The Clyfford Still Museum is the newest addition to Denver’s burgeoning Cultural Arts District, and will be located adjacent to the Denver Art Museum in the city’s Civic Center Cultural Complex, our partners also have strong relationships with executives at the majority of Denver’s key non-profit organizations.
